Is your kid's desk all cluttered? Help them stay organize by making an easy desk desk set for your child's school supplies. Watch this how to video tutorial as our host shows you how to make a pencil holder using a can, paper and some glue. Have your children help you with this fun activity.
Step 1: Cut Out Your Paper
Begin by placing whatever kind of box you've chosen on top of the paper you're going to use to wrap the box. Then, using a pencil, draw an outline of each side of the box. If you are using a box that has a flip open top, you are going to want to cut one long piece that will wrap all the way around the box, and then two side pieces. You want the two sides you've cut out to be longer on the top and bottom (about an inch) as you'll need to wrap these around the bottom and into the inside of the box. Your long piece should also be a little longer than the box itself (also about an inch), as you'll also be wrapping these into the box. Next cut out the paper you'll need for your juice can so that it ends right above and below the lip of the juice can.
Take the two sides you've cut out and begin by applying a thin layer of glue to the non-decorated side. Once these sides are covered, you want to take your one long piece and glue this on. Make sure to smooth out any bubbles. Now you want to take your juice can and glue the paper you've cut for this piece to the can. Viola, you have a desk set your child will love.
